On Wednesday morning, 7th April, while conducting boat training manoeuvers on Lough Derg, Limerick Civil Defence was activated by the Coast Guard to assist a vessel on fire. Wexford Civil Defence volunteers packed 450 wellbeing packs which were delivered to elderly people throughout the county last weekend 20-21 March. Packs were distributed to Wexford Garda Division, Meals on Wheels in Enniscorthy, Gorey, Grantstown, Ramsgrange, Tagoat and Taghmon, Wexford County Council, Wexford Food Family.
