New Dublin Civil Defence HQ, Official Opening

On Monday 30th September, Tánaiste and Minister for Defence, Micheál Martin TD opened the new Dublin Civil Defence Headquarters in Cherry Orchard, Dublin. The new facility will serve as a vital hub supporting it’s mission to provide voluntary emergency services to communities across city and county.

Poc Fada – Cooley Mountains

A hard weekend’s work for Louth Civil Defence volunteers at this year’s All Ireland Poc Fada in the Cooley mountains. Conditions turned treacherous with heavy rain and fog and the volunteers worked tirelessly in near zero visibility to ensure all patrons made it safely off the mountain.
