Sligo Search – August 2014

Sligo Civil Defence was activated on Friday 1st August to assist Gardaí and the RNLI in the search of the bay for a missing lady.

· Boat crew of 3 launched before 4pm
· Crew of 10 deployed for ground search at 5pm

The search parties were stood down at 8.30pm. The ground search team re-grouped on Saturday 2nd August at 10.30am and were stood down at 11am following recovery of the lady’s body at Cartron.
