Search & Rescue Operation, Slieve Blooms

On Saturday night 2nd September, Laois Civil Defence was activated to assist a family reported lost in the Slieve Bloom Mountains. Two teams from Laois Civil Defence, assisted by members from Offaly Civil Defence and the South Eastern Mountain Rescue Association and members of An Garda Síochána carried out a search of the area and managed to locate the family and return them to safety.
