Search Operation – Roaring Water Bay, Co Cork

The Cork West Civil Defence RIB was launched on Tuesday morning to assist in the search for an elderly male missing in Roaring Water Bay, Co Cork. The alarm was raised on Monday last night when he did not return from a fishing trip in a small boat. His boat was found washed up on Long Island, just south of Schull harbour. The Irish Coastguard, Baltimore RNLI, Naval Service and Schull Inshore Rescue boat were also involved in the search effort. The body of the missing man has now been recovered.
