Regional Exercises 2014 – Cork South – 22nd March

Cork South Civil Defence hosted the first of the 2014 Regional Exercise on Saturday 22nd March at Little Island community Centre and in the environs of Harbour Point golf course, Little Island. The exercise incorporated five competitive sites comprising:

· Casualty 
· AFS & Flooding
· Communications 
· Footdrill
· Team Task 

Cork North, Cork City, Cork West, Kerry and Waterford County units competed. At the end of an Exercise which tested and showcased the capabilities and skills of the competitors the Cork West team emerged victorious. Presentations were made to the winning team at a Presentation Dinner in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Little Island.
