Offaly Bike Unit

Offaly Civil Defence ran a bike course and officially launched its Bike Unit on Saturday 19th. August. The initial team of five are now in place and were trained by two members of Grand Canal Wheelers, one of the bike Instructors is Bob Flynn Civil Defence Volunteer the other Instructor is Darren Dempsey. The Unit will be utilized to cover various duties especially 5k & 10k events and will act as First Response with additional back up by Ambulance etc.
