Missing Person Search, Dublin – August 2014

Large numbers of Civil Defence volunteers have been assisting the Gardai in the ongoing search for 81 year old Thomas Kennedy who has been missing from Finglas since 29th July 2014. Up to 70 volunteers at a time have turned out in this search for the past 14 days. As well as volunteers from Dublin, Civil Defence volunteers from Kildare and Meath have also taken part in the search. The Civil Defence search dog has also been used. Thomas was last seen in the Virginia Park area, Finglas, at approximately 9pm on Tuesday 29th July 2014. Thomas is approximately 5’4” in height, of slim build with short grey hair. He was wearing a black rain jacket with a hood, short sleeved white and blue polo shirt, dark chino style trousers, black shoes with a velcro fastener and no laces. Thomas wears glasses and a watch. Gardaí are concerned for Thomas’ welfare and are appealing for all members of the public in the Finglas area to search their gardens, sheds and outhouses and for anyone who may have seen Thomas to contact Finglas Garda Station on 01 6667500, The Garda Confidential Line 1800 666111 or any Garda Station.
