Louth Civil Defence – Search Operation

Louth Civil Defence was contacted by the Gardaí on Friday night 21st Feb to assist with a missing person search in the Dundalk area. Volunteers commenced ground searching on Saturday morning 22^nd Feb and utilised their drone to search the mudflats in the area that were inaccessible to boats. This continued until dark. Searching re-commenced on Sunday morning 23^rd Feb and the technical section from Civil Defence attended to provide an enhanced drone capability. This continued until the search was stood-down at dusk.
