Leitrim Civil Defence Search and Recovery Operation

On Monday 18th July Leitrim Civil Defence responded to a request from Gardaí to assist in the search for a 34 year old man reported missing in the Carrick on Shannon area.

On Tuesday 19th July the Civil Defence search team located a body in the Shannon in 3 metres of water using their Sonar and ROV equipment. The Garda Water Unit recovered the remains from the scene.
