Laois Civil Defence – Search & Rescue Operation

On Wednesday night, 16th November Laois Civil Defence was activated by An Garda Síochána to assist in the search for missing walker on the Slieve Bloom Mountains.

16 Laois Civil Defence members were deployed, assisted by members from Offaly Civil Defence and members of SEMRA.

Thankfully the volunteers located the walker within two hours of searching.
