Kilkenny Search & Recovery – August 2014

Kilkenny Civil Defence was activated at 1pm on Saturday 16th August to assist Kilkenny Gardai in the search for a missing person in the Castlecomer area.

15 Volunteer members assisted the local Gardai in the search and assisted in the management of over 150 community volunteers who participated in the search of the environs of Castlecomer.

At 7pm the search was stood down after recovery of the body of the missing man. Kilkenny Civil Defence was thanked for their assistance by the family and the local Gardai.
