Dissolution of Civil Defence Board
The Civil Defence Bill 2012 was signed into law by the President in the days after Christmas.
A Ministerial Order was effected formally dissolving the Civil Defence Board with effect from 31st December 2012.
Since 1st January 2013, the management and development of Civil Defence at national level is re-established in the Civil Defence Branch of the Department of Defence.
