Cork West Civil Defence River Crossing Exercise

Cork West Civil Defence conducted a river crossing exercise with the Defence Forces Engineer Section from the Southern Brigade on Sunday 16th October.

The exercise took place on the Bandon river at Enniskeane, and involved the use of the modular pontoon system, which is common to both organisations.

Civil Defence boat crew members provided safety boat cover and also supported the deployment and recovery phase of the exercise.
