Civil Defence Act 2023

The Tánaiste and Minister for Defence Micheál Martin TD has signed a commencement order for the Civil Defence Act 2023. The new Act comes into effect from 18^th July.

The Act provides a modern and consolidated legal basis for Civil Defence today and for the years to come.
