Wicklow – Missing Person Search

Wicklow Civil Defence personnel from Baltinglass and Greystones units were tasked this morning, 8th May to assist the Gardaí and other emergency services to search an area in Rathdagan for a reported missing person. Regretfully the search ended after the missing person was found deceased, following a tragic accident (R.I.P.)


Wicklow SPCA Open Day

Roscommon – Missing Person Search

The Gardaí requested assistance from Roscommon Civil Defence at 13:27pm on Saturday 21st May to search for a missing person, believed to be in the Shannon at Tarmonbarry County Roscommon.  At 1400 hrs their boat was launched in Ballyleague and subsequently contacted the Irish Coast Guard giving their T.R report. Leitrim – Recovery of Cruiser on River Shannon

17 April 2018

On Sunday afternoon 15th April Leitrim Civil Defence was activated by Malin Head Coastguard to respond to a Cruiser in difficulty on the Shannon south of Drumsna. The Boat Crew responded and succeeded in refloating a 45 ft Cruiser with two persons onboard which was aground on Lough Tap south of Drumsna.
