Meath Search Operation

The search in Donore for a missing Lithuanian man came to a conclusion on Saturday 27th July with the recovery of his body. Our sympathies to his family. May he rest in peace.

Meath Civil Defence was initially activated by Ashbourne GardaI on Saturday 20th July to assist in the search for a missing person in the Donore area of Meath. The Garda divisional search team are leading the search, also supported by members of the Defence Forces. The search for the missing Lithuanian man from Blanchardstown continued in the Donore area of County Meath with two Civil Defence Search Managers, the Civil Defence Drone team and two Cadaver K9 teams from Dublin Civil Defence operational. All agencies cooperated effectively and secured closure for the missing man’s family with the recovery of his body.
