Mayo Civil Defence was requested by An Garda Siochana at 21.45h on the 17/9/22 to assist with a multi agency rescue operation at Downpatrick Head in North Mayo. Slieve Bloom Experiment – 13th September 2022

On Tuesday the 13th September in the Slieve Blooms,  Laois and Galway Civil Defence contributed to a collaborative project between the Irish Defence Forces, Tyndall National Institute & Trinity College Dublin which seeks to develop a drone radio relay system, to enhance radio communication for personnel operating in challenging environments.
