Cork City Marathon

Since its revival in 2007 Cork City Civil Defence has provided medical and logistical support at the Cork Marathon. Over 11,000 competitors took part in the 2023 event on Sunday 4th June.

Communication Equipment Exercise – River Shannon, 23rd May 2023

Dublin Water Outage

During a major water outage on Thursday evening 25th May Dublin Civil Defence activated five fire appliances and crews to deliver approximately 180,000 litres of water to keep two medical facilities functioning.

Passing of former Civil Defence Officer
