  • Carlow Civil Defence conducting welfare checks on households cut off due to damaged roads

31st January 2026

  • Wexford Civil Defence assisting households with recovery phase and conducting welfare checks in Bunclody, Bridgetown, and Enniscorthy
  • Carlow Civil Defence conducting welfare checks and prepping residents to be evacuated; Rest Centre equipment moved to Carlow

30th January 2026

  • Monaghan Civil Defence transported 2 dialysis patients to and  from treatment; transported vulnerable lady to collect medications and supplies
  • Laois Civil Defence Drone Teams assessing flooding in Laois and Kilkenny
  • Kilkenny Civil Defence Drone Team assessing flooding in Kilkenny and conducting welfare checks on affected household

29th January 2026

  • Louth Civil Defence deployed to distribute sandbags to affected households
  • Monaghan Civil Defence conducted welfare checks on 3 affected households
  • Carlow Drone Crew deployed to provide images of flooded areas. Also tasked to distribute sandbags to 1 household.
  • Wexford Civil Defence prepared footage for Local Authority

28th January 2026

  • Louth Civil Defence Drone Team activated by Local Authority to survey flooded areas in Dundalk.
  • Wexford Civil Defence moved to recovery phase of duties, – Water Support Vehicle, 2 X 4WD Vehicles, and Drones deployed. Welfare Checks on affected households in Enniscorthy, Island Road and Bunclody. Volunteers also notifying households on the flood relief schemes announced by Government.
  • Monaghan Civil Defence transport Dialysis patient to and from hospital. Conducted welfare checks on households affected by flooding. 2 X 4WD Vehicles and Ambulance deployed.

27th January 2026

  • Wexford Civil Defence responded to flooding in Enniscorthy from 8.30am with 3 x 4WD Vehicles, 3 x Drones, a Water Response Vehicle, Swift Water Teams and Rafts. In what was an extremely challenging flood event, Civil Defence evacuated 30 people from their flooded homes and transported families to emergency accommodation.
  • Wicklow Civil Defence was activated at 7.00am with Swift Water Teams and Raft  evacuating people from flooded homes in Aughrim. A Rest Centre was set up in a Community Pavilion Centre, manned by Civil Defence and Community volunteers. The Centre will remain open on Wednesday morning.
