Storm Brendan

Donegal Civil Defence was activated at 4.15pm on Sunday 12th January to put prevention measures in place in advance of the forecast Storm Brendan. Specific areas of Donegal town were sandbagged by Civil Defence members.

Donegal have the following resources available;

  • 14 members of the AFS Flood Response unit
  • 250 filled sandbags
  • 2 Trailers
  • 1 Comms Vehicle
  • 4 4×4 Vehicles
  • 1 Fire Appliance
  • 2 Portable Pumps.
  • Additional sand is available locally should the need arise.
