Sligo – Missing Person Search

Sligo Civil Defence was requested by the Gardaí to assist with the search of a missing person in the Culleens area of Sligo on Thursday 24^th March last. The person went missing following a road traffic accident on Tuesday night 22^nd March . Gardaí, the Garda Search Dog Unit, Coast Guard Helicopter, 21 Civil Defence members and locals from the community spent all day Thursday 24^th March searching a vast wooded and bogland area. The search resumed on Friday 25^th March and at lunchtime the person was located alive and well.

The Gardaí and the local community thanked Civil Defence for their assistance.
