Sligo Keep Safe Event, March 2019

A Health and safety Authority ‘Keep Safe’ event was held at Sligo Fire station on 7th March 2019. Sligo Civil Defence attended the event and carried out CPR and AED demonstrations and on how to make an emergency call.
This program is aimed to promote safety and community awareness through involving the children in a series of interactive scenarios with a strong safety theme. There were 100 children in attendance from schools around Sligo City. The groups of 10 students rotated between each agency in attendance on the day which included The Health and Safety Authority, Sligo Fire Brigade, Sligo Civil Defence, An Garda Síochána, ESB Networks, Bus Éireann, Irish Water Safety, Construction Industry Federation, Teagasc and the Irish Coast Guard.
