Search Operation, Galway Harbour

At 10.30am on Tuesday 5th March Galway Civil Defence was activated to assist Costello Bay Coastguard Unit in a search for a person last seen on Nimmo’s Pier just after midnight that morning. Items of clothing were found by a person out walking and the Gardaí.  Were alerted.

Galway Civil Defence Drone Unit assisted Coastguard crews on shore-line search around Nimmos Pier, Harbour Enterprise Park and entrance to the Galway Harbour area. Crews were stood down at 5.30pm.

The search is resuming on Wednesday 6th March.
