Search Operation, Cregmore, Co Galway

On Saturday morning 28th October, Galway Civil Defence was activated by An Garda Síochána to assist in the search for a missing person in the Cregmore area of County Galway.

Since Saturday, Civil Defence Boat crews using sonar, with the assistance of Mayo Civil Defence Drone crews and the Dublin K9 Unit  have being conducting a search of the River Clare and land searches of the environs.

Irish Coastguard R115, Inland Fisheries, and the Garda Water and Air Support Units have also been actively searching the area.

The search of the River Clare came to a conclusion on Sunday 5th November following the recovery of the missing gentleman by the Garda Water Unit.
