Roscommon Rescue

Roscommon Civil Defence Water Unit rescued two windsurfers that got into severe difficulties on Sunday evening on Lough Boderg, Co. Roscommon.  They were recovered and transported to safety in Rooskey. Later that evening whilst patrolling the lake they were called to assist a small boat with two people on board that was drifting in force 5 conditions after running out of fuel, the crew gave them fuel and re united them with their family. Ray Dunne CDO, Roscommon Civil Defence complemented the crew for their excellent work patrolling the lakes and rivers in County Roscommon.
