Multi Agency Exercise, Killala, Co Mayo – 16th April 2016

Mayo Civil Defence members participated in a Multi agency Search & Rescue Exercise in Killala Bay on Saturday 16th April.

Irish Coast Guard Members from the West/ North West Region, Rescue 118 (Sligo Coast Guard Helicopter), An Garda Síochána from the Ballina / Killala Area, The Garda Water Unit & Mayo Civil Defence participated in the Exercise.

Mayo Civil Defence participated in Search / Incident Management, Search Party and Marine based roles alongside the other agencies.

The exercise was deemed a success by all concerned and valuable learning took place.
