Monaghan – Search & Recovery Operation

Monaghan Civil Defence received a call from the Fire Service to assist at an incident near Glaslough village shortly after noon on Monday 7th December.

There were reports from the Gardaí that a male in his 70’s was missing and a car was reported submerged in flood waters. Monaghan Civil Defence mobilized an inflatable boat and 10 volunteers to the scene. A search was carried out of the area and a body was recovered by the boat crew. Gardaí, Fire Service & HSE Ambulance Service were also on scene.
