Civil Defence & Darkness into Light 2019

47 Meath Civil Defence members turned out on Saturday morning, 11th May to provide Ambulance and First Aid cover at Darkness into Light walks in four separate locations – Fairyhouse, Moynalty, Navan and Trim. Between all four walks there were upwards of 10,000 participants supporting Pieta House.

Many members of Clare Civil Defence got out of their comfy beds to cover the Darkness into Light event on Saturday morning, 11th May. Well done to the organisers for a very special event and to everybody, from the very young to the very old, who took part. It’s good to talk

The Cork North Civil Defence Ambulance Crew ,Bike Crew and 4×4 Crew provided medical cover along with our colleagues from Irish Red Cross Mallow and Charleville units for the Darkness into Light event in Mallow on Saturday morning, 11th May.

Dublin Civil Defence provided medical cover at various locations across the City and County for Darkness into Light on Saturday morning, 11th May in aid of Pieta House.

Many Westmeath Civil Defence volunteers turned out to assist and provide cover for the annual Darkness into Light walk in Mullingar in the early hours of Saturday morning, 11th May.

Wicklow Civil Defence were pleased to assist the Baltinglass organisers of the Darkness into Light event on Saturday morning, 11th May.

Laois Civil Defence provided ambulance and logistical support to the Darkness into Light event in Mountmellick.

Offaly Civil Defence provided Ambulance cover, 4X4 Vehicles and a Mini Bus in addition to logistical support to the Darkness into Light event in Tullamore.

Sligo Civil Defence provided first aid cover and actively took part in four Darkness into Light events in Sligo this year. Events were held in Sligo town, Dromore West, Banada and Ballymote.  25  volunteers assisted
