Mayo Search & Rescue Operation

On Monday afternoon, 27th June Mayo Civil Defence was activated by Claremorris Gardaí to a high priority missing person search in the Ballyhaunis area.

23 members of Civil Defence from Mayo, Galway and Roscommon units responded from across the region. Shortly after 5pm the person was located safe and well.

Superintendent Gabriel Moran of Claremorris Garda Station thanked the public for their assistance in searching for the woman and in particular thanked Civil Defence for their response.
