Mayo – Missing Person Search Operation

A full search of the coastline and lands in the Doolough/Geesala area of north Mayo for a woman who has been missing for the past number of days is continuing into the weekend.

The search for 53-year old Margaret Carolan of Doolough, Geesala, is due to resume at 8 a.m. tomorrow (Friday) morning.

Hundreds of local people, including members of the Gardaí, Mayo Civil Defence, the Meath Civil Defence search dog, RNLI, Coast Guard, the Search and Rescue helicopter, the Order of Malta and local volunteers have been involved in the search to date.

Leitrim Civil Defence will assist in the search efforts on Saturday, 4th July.
