Leitrim Search & Rescue

On Monday afternoon, 24^th July Leitrim Civil Defence was activated by An Garda Síochána to assist in a water based search for a missing person in the Carrick on Shannon area. The Boat Unit was activated and commenced a search of the Shannon in the town area. The search was stood down at 8.30 pm when the missing person was found alive and well.
