Laois Search Operation

Laois Civil Defence was activated at 1pm on Wednesday 13th May to assist in the land search for a missing person in the environs of Portlaoise.   Four Civil Defence Drone Units were in operation – Laois Galway, Westmeath and Tipperary. In total, 21 volunteer members were on duty, assisted by 8 4WD vehicles, 1 4WD Ambulance, 1 Minibus and 1 Comunications Unit.

The body was recovered at 7pm. R.I.P.
