Laois Civil Defence – Slieve Blooms Rescue

19 July 2021

On saturday 17th June Laois Civil Defence was activated by Mountain Rescue and the National Ambulance Service to assist an injured male in the Glenbarrow area of the Slieve Bloom Mountains. Three resources responded to the call and located the patient shortly afterwards. The patient’s injuries were treated by Civil Defence Paramedics & EMTs before being transported to the Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore.
