Communication Equipment Exercise – River Shannon, 23rd May 2023

Limerick Civil Defence participated in a multi-agency operation took place on the River Shannon to test the emergency services’ communication equipment.  The multi-agency exercise assessed interagency coordination during time of critical incidents and also tested communication systems.  In attendance was Councillor Francis Foley, Mayor of Limerick City & County and Chief Executive Dr. Pat Daly.

Participating organisations included An Garda Síochána, Limerick Fire & Rescue Service, Irish Coast Guard, Limerick Marine Search and Rescue and Limerick Civil Defence.
