Assistance to Boat on Lough Derg

On Wednesday morning, 7th April, while conducting boat training manoeuvers on Lough Derg, Limerick Civil Defence was activated by the Coast Guard to assist a vessel on fire. On arrival of the Civil Defence boat, the fire was extinguished. Two persons on board had no injuries and no medical treatment was requested. Civil Defence personnel waited with the vessel until the Coast Guard arrived to tow it. Rescue 115 was also in attendance.
