Annual National Radiation Exercise

3 March 2025

On Saturday 1st March, Civil Defence units nationally, were activated as part of a national radiation exercise to take samples of soil for analysis by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This is an annual event that enables the EPA to monitor levels in the soil country wide.

Thanks to our volunteers for giving their time and the efficiency displayed.
