Cold Weather Homeless Shelter

Dublin Civil Defence opened the Emergency Rest Shelter in the Esplanade last Monday the 28th November 2016 to provide a Cold Weather Shelter for the Homeless from Monday night. This will involve Civil Defence Volunteers from Dublin and Volunteers from other Counties in conjunction with DCC Homeless section. Remedial works are being carried out by the homeless section of DCC to upgrade the accommodation. A total of 20 beds will be made available.
