Mayo Search & Rescue Operation

On Sunday evening, 5^th May, Mayo Civil Defence was activated by An Garda Síochána to assist in the search for a high risk missing person search in the east Mayo area.

Resources were mobilised, and assistance was provided by Galway and Laois Civil Defence Units. The missing person was found by a local search team at approximately 9pm, assessed by Civil Defence Medics and handed over to the care of the National Ambulance Service.

Civil Defence worked alongside and co-operated with multiple agencies during the successful operation.
