Auxiliary Fire Service
 The Auxiliary Fire Service was set up to offer a back up service to the professional front line fire service.
Members involved in the Auxiliary Fire Service are trained in certain areas of fire fighting such as pump and ladder drills.
They are also trained in pumping floodwaters or alternatively in supplying water to the community in times of emergency. This has proved beneficial in assisting with flood relief efforts in recent years
