Flooding in Mallow Area - January 2008

North Cork Civil Defence responded to a request from the Fire Service for assistance in evacuating Houses in Dromore, Dromahane, Mallow on 10th Jan 2008.

Having successfully evacuated 6 people from this area using the boat we then proceeded to Killavullen to rescue 2 people who became trapped in flood water when their truck stalled in flood water.

The occupants of the Truck that got swamped in Killavullen being brought to safety. The truck is submerged in 5 Feet of water 500 metres further along the road towards Killabullen.
