2010 College Programme
Civil Defence training has two connected streams. One is based within each Local Authority (local training) and the other is based at the Civil Defence College (central training). The college is the National Training Centre for Civil Defence. Each year, in consultation with the Local Authorities, a Civil Defence College programme is agreed. The main focus of central training is to train volunteer instructors nominated by their Local Authority. Once qualified these instructors conduct training classes primarily within their own Local Authority.
